Children’s Art Workshop
Ensuring a fantastic day out for all the family, the ‘smARTy pants’ Children’s Art Workshop allows you to explore the show at your leisure whilst your children enjoy a hands-on art experience in a supervised, stimulating environment. For children aged 5 to 15 years of age*, the workshops require no bookings and all children get to take their own masterpieces home at the end of their stay. Aprons are provided for attendees but it is highly recommended the children wear old clothing.
All art supplies provided by Eckersley’s Art & Craft.
Workshops will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at The Weekend Australian Art Brisbane. Half hour of play is $6.00 or an hour is $12.00. Special sibling rate; $5.00 per half hour and $10.00 per hour.
*Toddlers are welcome to attend supervised by a parent or carer.

Getting to The Weekend Australian Art Brisbane
Art Brisbane will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, South Bank, on the corner of Merivale and Glenelg St.
Public Transport
Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre is conveniently located in the downtown Brisbane area in the heart of the South Bank Precinct and can easily be accessed by car and public transport.
The South Brisbane Train Station, located alongside the Exhibition Centre, providing fast and direct access to the International and Domestic airports (via Brisbane’s Airtrain), hotels and the Gold Coast.
Brisbane's famous City Cat Ferries - cruise the Brisbane River and depart from dedicated access points every 30 minutes and every 20 minutes during peak hour. The nearest CityCat terminal is located at South Bank, a short stroll from the Centre.
There is a bus way station located with easy walking distance to the Centre.
The Centre has its own dedicated taxi rank and secure undercover car park providing 1,600 car park spaces, 24 hours a day.
By Car
The Convention & Exhibition Centre is located on the corner of Merivale and Glenelg St, in Brisbane's South Bank district. Undercover parking is available at the centre for a flat rate of $12 per day.
